Sue Ann Garwood earned a MS in mathematics and was known for her outstanding university teaching (including at Harvard). In 1991, she began an intensive study of Holistic Health. After raising three children, she started working as a Health Consultant and Technician in Holistic Clinics in 1998, before opening her own business, Open Your Gate LLC, in 2003. She obtained her Master’s Certification in Bio-Energetics, did public lectures, and produced the H.E.A.L. (Healthy Environment And Lifestyle)TM Program. She completed her Certification as a Nutritional Consultant from the American Association of Nutritional Consultants.

Sue Ann studied acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, NJ. She was awarded NCCAOM Diplomat status and NJ state certification in acupuncture. She currently practices and resides in Boonton, NJ.
